Fast, effective ways to get rid of an eye stye?

Warm compresses: A stye is caused by an oil gland at the base of the lashes getting clogged and causing some inflammation. Essentially it is like a pimple. Take a warm washcloth as hot as you can stand and hold that over the eyelid off and on 10 minutes at a time. Afterwards gentle massage the lid toward the eye. Take care not to make the wash cloth too hot. If it feels too hot, it is to hot.
