Consult your doctor!: This could be serious. Complications of an epidural steroid injection to the cervical spine can potentially be significantly more severe than for other spinal injections. A stiff neck could be due to meningeal irritation, epidural hematoma, infection, and as happened two years ago, contaminated medications. You need to see your doctor immediately for definitive diagnosis and treatment. Take care.

Neck inflammation: Epidural injection in the neck, like any other invasive procedure, has side effects which include some inflammation in the region due to mechanical procedure. Depending in the underlying condition requiring the procedure, u can use OTC anti inflammatory agents and consult your doctor if you don't improve by or develop additional symptoms like fever headache and blurred vision.
