Try traction : Pinching of the nerve in the neck is either due to a herniated disk or arthritic changes generally. If you feel better with gentle manual traction in slight flexion, get an overhead home traction device (about $25), but always face the door no matter what it says on the box to allow for slight flexion. If traction feels worse, try McKenzie PT (McKenzieMDT.ORG). Avoid surgery for as long as possibl
