Possible chalazion: It is difficult to ascertain from your description. However, a lump in the eyelid that is infected, inflamed and swollen may extend into facial swelling. It may be a chalazion or external hordeolum. Treatment consists of hot compresses and topical and possible oral antibiotics. You need to be evaluated by either your physician or an ophthalmologist.
