Instead: Try hot compresses. Take a face cloth and soak it in warm water, be careful, that it's not too hot, otherwise you suffer a burn. Let it sit over the culprit area for 5-10 minutes every couple of hours. But to be honest, if this is a large abscess, as in bigger than 1 cm, I would encourage you to seek help from a doctor. Also if you are having fevers, or redness around the wound, seek help too.
