Possible abscess: Probably best to let your doctor decide in person. Selling, pain and redness obviously can mean infection in the form of abscess/cyst. (You know this as you mentioned pus.) If it is a fluid collection, the best treatment is for your doctor to numb and open it. Systemic antibiotics don't really do the trick. You can get redness from yeast, of course. Warm water soaks, see your doctor.
