Burning?: Burning with urination can unfortunately be due to an infection either of the urinary tract or possibly the prostate. I think he should see a doctor and possible give a urine sample that can be tested.

Chafing or infection: If the pain is coming from chafing during intercourse, he can apply a small amount of over the counter antibiotic ointment to the tip of his penis, and that may soothe the symptoms. However burning sensations can also be caused by sexually transmitted infections and bladder infections, which should be checked for by his doctor especially if they last more than a day.
