Urethritis?: Intermittent discharge lasting this long could still be an STD, in particular nongonococcal urethritis due to unknown bacteria that don't show up on standard STD tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia. However, typical NGU probably would have cleared up after 5 months, even without antibiotics, so you may have something else. Keep working with your doctor, maybe see infection specialist or urologist.
