Biotin Deficiency: Biotin Def is very very rare condition and it usually happens in people with malabsorption syndromes like Crohn's dx, people who get IV nutrition, on Antibiotics for long period of time. Biotin is a coenzyme for Vitamin B group and Vit B group help burning carbohydrate in our body, lack of biotin can cause hair loss, skin and nail problem and peripheral neuropathy but no Cataract.

No: This condition is uncommon. The lack of biotin leads to conditions such as loss of hair , poor skin condition and neuropatthy and fortunately no cataracts
