Get evaluated today: Wheezing is caused by small airway obstruction and needs to be evaluated. Asthma and infection are the most common. Your child should be seen urgently by your doctor or urgent care. If you have albuterol by nebulizer or inhaler at home, it is safe to give a treatment now, but he should still be seen.
