A member asked:

Can anxiety make my heart super sensitive out of no where? to sugar, occasional alcohol, emotions? never had this b4, ekg/holter/stress test normal.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Absolutely yes.: It's good that your cardiac tests are normal & you are open to the idea that anxiety can trigger "a super sensitive heart". Heart rate & rhythm are affected by exercise, emotions like anxiety & fear, a drop in blood sugar, the after-effects of alcohol and sudden increase in the stress hormone adrenaline, to name a few. Discuss this with your PCP. Anxiety is manageable.
