Heart ultrasound: 3d color doppler echocardiography is part of the ultrasound of the heart that looks at blood flow across the valves of the heart and measures flow velocity of the blood across the valves. It can accurately measure regurgitant flow (leaky valves) or measure the degree of a valve that is not opening properly. It assists the doctors in assessing valvular heart disease and effects on heart function.
