A member asked:

Will a pap smear tell if there is cancer in the uterus; cervical stenosis being main symptom or does it only work for cervical cancers?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mostly cervical: Pap tests are a screening test for cervical cancer. In some cases endometrial cells are present (cells from lining of uterus). In some of these cases it is an indication of uterine cancer. You are at a very young age for this. If endometrial cells are present on pap, the doctor may want to do an endometrial biopsy (biopsy of cells of lining of uterus) to determine what the problem is.
