Tonsillitis: No it is not cancer. However, you may have an abcess behind that tonsil and I am concerned about your difficulty breathing. Please get off your computer and go right to the nearest ER for evaluation. This is an emergency!

Unlikely: Throat cancer is unlikely at your age. Tonsillitis is lot more likely. An abscess behind or surrounding the tonsil could explain that. If swelling is getting worse or if pain is severe and associated with difficulty swallowing and high fever you need to see a doctor asap.

No. : Sounds like peritonsillar abscess until proven otherwise. Send to ER for higher level of care, including imaging and consult ENT.
