Doubt cancer: These symptoms are not typical for cancer in the back of the nose, throat, etc, and such cancers are extremely rare at your age. But if you remain worried, you'll have to see a doctor. Look for a community clinic -- there probably are some in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Such a clinic also may be able to help find health insurance, e.g. through the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) -- even in Texas!

Persistent cough for 4 wks. Lump moving in chest, painful swallowing, shoulder pain, & rib cage pain. Told doc today. Doc not concerned cause x-ray last month was clear. What if this cough goes another month? Scared lung cancer. Smoked for a year.
