Specializes in Breast Surgery

Breastsurgeons.org: Breast surgeons are general surgeons who have completed a 5 year residency training program. Many general surgeons perform other operations but keep educated on breast disease. Some surgeons complete a 1-2 year fellowship (specific training in breast) program. Experience and keeping up with the current procedures and treatments are what make a good breast surgeon.
