No.: Your count is just barely over the "normal range." Most normal ranges are set to 95% of patients so 5% of people will fall slightly out of this range and still be normal. Most physicians will not start to worry about something else causing high platelets (thrombocytosis) until the number gets over 500 (which is actually 500,000).
