NEWBORN: Thy don't move alot and you always check the baby for breast or bottle feeding.

When they can stand: The sad truth is we loose babies every year who suffocate in their blankets or with their nose trapped against a soft bumper.When they can reliably move to shift out of such a position when half asleep, blankets are okay.I wait until they can stand. A well insulated sleeper outfit satisfies all of babies needs. Blankets are not necessary.
