Yes: Ovarian cysts can cause irregular menstrual cycles and painful cramping. A large cyst can twist-sudden onset of severe pain, nausea, and vomiting which is a medical emergency needing immediate attention. Cysts can also rupture causing sudden pain which also may require immediate attention. Your symptoms could also be due to other causes. I recommend following up with your gynecologist.
