Get it evaluated: more fully! It can be part of a syndrome known as Floppy Eye Syndrome that commonly occurs when you're sleeping and part of the eyelid is open enough to cause tear evaporation. (The syndrome also includes sleep apnea and obesity). Don't have your past history to comment further. Sometimes, this can just be from dry eye syndrome period. So, you may benefit from your PCP working this up thoroughly.

Get seen: Any sudden persistent change in vision needs to be assessed. See or call your primary care doc, eye doc, go to eye care urgent care, or an ER now. It may be something as minor as a new medication, but better safe than sorry. (And usually medication effects are not present just in 1 eye).
