Yes, Yes: Typically a fungal ball (mycetoma) can be hinted at on CT scan by the appearance of the sinus opacification. Mycetoma is a possibility, but acute vs. chronic sinusitis would be a more likely diagnosis. I suggest you see an ENT for further discussion since they will be able to better address your sinus disease.

Hi doctors. I'm having a CT scan of the sinuses. The MRI of the brain from December, 2020 found opacification, but no tumor, nor did a visual endoscopy of my sinuses in the office....is it likely that there still may be tumors found on the CT scan?
