No: No, only if there is an active infection. Most people have had CMV and don't even know it. They just have a sore throat & fever.

See doctor: You have good protection against CMV from previous illness ,and now no new infection .Your baby will not get CMV infection .,from your past illness .talk to your doctor pn next visit

No: A fetus is only at risk if the mother has a CMV infection during that pregnancy. The earlier it happens the more involved the infection would be. You are immune & your fetus will carry passive immunity for months after birth. It will likely get CMV later in life when it is a minor flu like illness.
