Unless prolonged: Asthma, especially when uncontrolled, is associated with very sensitive airways resulting from the inflammation. The stronger the irritant, the worse the reaction. However if the exposure is short to household bleach, the airway spasm will likely be short lived. The more inflamed the airway, the more intense the reaction. if the reaction fails to resolve after 2 hrs, see doctor.
