However, if you have ever had sexual contact with another partner in the past, you could acquire an infection that may show no symptoms and have it for years.

No: It does not mean you are infected - especially if she had never had a partner before you. However, you should be using protection for every encounter. Not everyone who says they are a virgin, is. STIs are very common, and can affect your fertility! Protect yourself every encounter. Good luck!
