Consult with OB: Phenergan (aka promethazine) is typically a 3rd line agent for nausea and vomiting in pregnancy because it is a class C drug for pregnancy (animal studies show possible risk to fetus) but may be required for severe cases. First line therapy is dietary changes followed by vitamin b6 (pyridoxine) and doxylamine both pregnancy class A (studies have failed to show risk to the fetus) safe alternatives
