A member asked:

Neuro couldn't explain this to me. can someone explain this ana? norm la1&2, positive hex.pho, prolonged appt and saline. approx 15%of lupus anti.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Anti phospholipid : The neurologist may be screening you for condition called anti-phospholipid syndrome. In this condition the most common manifestation would be a propensity for blood clots (thrombosis) but headaches may occur as part of the syndrome. Although the LA 1/2 are (-) your hex phos and APPT are abnormal. A Hematologist can determine if this condition is/is not present with more specific blood tests.
