Pharyngitis: If you are getting worse you should see your doctor. Try and keep your fever under control with acetaminophen and ibuprofen, and be sure to drink more liquids than normal to stay hydrated. Your doctor can check you for strep throat, but many viruses can cause the same symptoms.
