R.O. tumor: Lymph nodes in neck that have not responded may represent metastatic nodal disease. If there is associated swallowing problems and nothing noted on oral exam, one should think of a hypopharynx Ca that can cause problems even at 3-4 mm. in size. Node bx should be performed to define the problem.
