Lots of options: Besides medication, I would also recommend physical therapy, lifestyle modifications and modalities such as TENS unit. Depending on the type of pain you have, NSAIDs, tylenol, (acetaminophen) and medications specifically for neuropathic pain may be helpful. The American Chronic Pain Association has a good section on medication and treatment as a patient resource. http://www.theacpa.org/treatments
