On its own: A small pneumothorax in a healthy person should resolve on its own. Trust your doctor to know if your situation needs a chest tube or can heal on its own.

Probably: Collapsed lung (pneumothorax) has the potential to heal without intervention. In a young, healthy individual this is more likely to be the case.
