Mind over body : Pick a quit date 2 weeks away. During the time, set up your home to be smoke free and try to smoke less. You can start on some medication such as Chantix or Zyban (bupropion). On the day you said you would stop. Stop completely. You have to have the frontal area of your brain override the pleasure area of your brain. Good luck, I know it may be hard but don't give up .

Smoker: Choose a quit date. Then see your primary care doctor to help you get through the toughest time of withdrawing from craving nicotine. There are different preparations of over -the-counter nicotine replacement. There are also prescription medications to be taken orally to be taken at least 3 months to help decrease the withdrawal symptoms. Try & try again if you don't succeed the first time.
