A member asked:

I'm a smoker & trying to quit. i have a smoker's cough, and wouldn't be concerned, but i work with an immunodeficient population. how can i be sure that it's my smoker's cough and not something i need to be more concerned about, like coronavirus?

Chest image: You may have a condition called COPD and a chest image, pulmonary function testing and a test for blood oxygenation is indicated. COVID-19 presents with fever, dry cough and shortness of breath. Since you work with immunodeficient patients, staying at home for the next two weeks and scheduling a virtual consultation is advised. You may need inhalers to control your smokers cough.
