A member asked:

Had my neck cracked 2 x by a chiropracter, is it normal to have pain with little cracking noises upon moving my head 2 weeks later ?

Yes: The alignment problems that took you to the Chiropractor may return. The chronic back pain you list in your history can place uneven stresses on the neck. You need to be reexamined to be sure. "Cracking your own neck" is rarely helpful. Good luck.

No: Did you have this to begin with? Would followup with a doctor.

Why would you go?: Are you havin pain? Musculoskeletal problems can give you neck pain (strain, joints, arthritis, pinched nerve). A disc bulge can be minor or serious. Why would you go to a chiro ? Best to see an md who can help you isolate the cause and arrive at a solution. In the mean time, stretch, heat, relaxation may help. Ask yourself...is the 'adjustment doing anything for you ???
