Healthy heart: In young people, especially those who are healthy and physically active, a resting heart rate in the 40's or 50's can be normal. We define the normal heart rate to be between 60 and 100. Not everyone lives within the norm. If you develop lightheadedness, passing out, or chest pain, those could be signs of a more serious condition, and you should see your doctor. Hope this helps!

Not unexpected: Cardiovascular training does lead to decreased resting heart rates. For a young man, I wouldn't worry too much, particularly if you are able to augment(increase) your heart rate to 150+ BPM while cycling. I would be more interested in why you have had a cardiac MRI, as asymptomatic bradycardia isn't a common reason to complete a cardiac MRI.
