Yes: measures of HIGHER brain function will be off in a really detailed eye exam if a lot of the higher brain function is broken: Ability to follow objects rapidly smoothly. Ability to adjust the eye appropriately when multiple brain inputs occur...moving head, moving body, moving object all in different paths. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12773891 this isn't the earliest sign and MRI proves it.
