Can menapause cause painful sex,bleeding during sex,& passing blood clots after sex? or is it a sign of something else?

Needs evaluation : Menopause alone does not cause painful sex. Vaginal bleeding after menopause is abnormal and needs evaluation. If the bleeding happens after pain with intercourse, you may possibly have a tear/laceration. Please see a gynecologist for evaluation of post menopausal bleeding and possible laceration

Topical vaginal estrogen cream can be very helpful, and so little is absorbed that you don't need to take progesterone if you still have a uterus.
