Thyoglycolates: Most hair removal creams contain thioglycolate sulfates and salts. They work by breaking down the protein in the hair where it exits from the follicle, causing it to fall off. But don't count on the labels to find the best choice. They may be confusing, incomplete or too small to read. Stick with products that are described as "mild" "gentle" or "hypoallergenic" and follow the instructions!
