Lymph node: You most likely have a lymph node either of the upper cervical chain or on the mastoid. If it gets bigger or does not resolve in a few weeks have an ENT doctor see it. You may need to go on another round of antibiotics or need to have it biopsied. Most of these resolve without any problems. A lymph node is a garbage dump for old infection and is where the immune system works to fight infection
