See Your Doctor: The xiphoid process is a cartilage extension at the lower end of the rib cage at center. Because it is cartilage & not bone, it can be easily moved if you press on it. If you have been handling this area regularly it can become sore & the process can feel like a movable mass. It is difficult to confirm what you are feeling without an examination. See your doctor for correct diagnosis/treatment.

Hernia, cyst?: This could be a variety of different conditions although it is most like an extension of your xiphoid. This could be a cyst or hernia.
