A member asked:

Had mri brain due to headaches and tingling which showed 17mm pineal cyst. how worried should be? will i need surgery? very scared

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Benign: Pineal cysts are almost always benign and "incidental findings" on MRI. this is not a cause for headaches. It is possible that your doctor will want to repeat the MRI in a few months to ensure that the cyst has not changed in any way.
