I've received 2 rounds of iv antibiotics for a kidney infection, but am still getting fevers. is this normal?

Yes: You must have Pyelonephritis . This is a serious infection & can spread through blood causing Sepsis. IV antibiotic helps kill these bacteria and curb the infection. It may take 24 to 48 hours to resolve the fever. Some times we have to change the antibiotics if bacteria are resistant to the AB being used.Take Tylenol (acetaminophen) for the fever. Drink plenty of Liquid. Wish you rapid recovery

No, get in!: Make sure you get seen right away and get blood cultures and a full work up done. this could be very serious.
