Febrile illness: I think something significant is going on here - although the follow up labs appear to show some recovery. If you notice the bone marrow took a 'hit' - with low white cells and low platelets. The fever is the 'generic' response to that. Wonder what in more detail could be the leg symptoms? I think you need thorough evaluation here, since I wouldn't want to miss an important dx in a young child.
