A member asked:

Can sod type ii eventually lead to cancer in my pancreas? or should i be more concerned about pancreatitus?

Stop worrying: From my reading, sphincter of Oddi dysfunction is GOOD news. You have an explanation for your abdominal pain. If you don't already have raging pancreatitis, you probably won't get it. I haven't found anything convincing about a pancreatic cancer risk, and this would only make theoretical sense if you have bad recurrent pancreatitis. Maybe your SOD II can be treated.
