Is there a noticeable difference between pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer?

In pain?: Your question isn't quite clear. Obviously there's a huge difference in that pancreatic cancer is cancer and pancreatitis is an inflammatory process of the pancreas (usually caused by alcohol or gallstones). However, pancreatic cancer can cause pancreatitis as well. Pancreatitis can be very serious though--you should seek evaluation for your presumed abdominal pain.

Not really: Both can present with pain, itching, yellow skin and eyes. The CT scan will be the first step to help differentiate. Then some blood tests.
