A member asked:

How long should the testicle be hard and swollen and inguinal hernia repair and removal of a cord lipoma? little to no pain just hard and swollen.

Scrotum swelling: is normal, but you should not have testicular hardness or swelling. Show it to surgeon to make sure that blood supply to testicle is intact.

Variable: How long ago was your surgery? It is not necessarily unusual for the groin and scrotum to be firm, swollen, even bruised after a hernia repair, especially if it was a large hernia. It would be best to see your surgeon ASAP to make sure it is not something more serious.
