Depends: The glucose tolerance test is designed to screen for elevated blood sugar, for diabetes. People with symptoms of hypoglycemia may be responding to a drop in blood sugar, which may not go below the normal range, sometimes a 3 or 5 hour GTT is used to screen for hypoglycemia. If this is normal, there may be some other cause of the symptoms besides hypoglycemia, .
