A member asked:

Does having hyperthyroidism (not graves) effect your blood glucose? i am constantly feeling like i am hypoglycemic, dizzy and lightheaded

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Check blood sugar: I recommend that you have your blood sugar checked when you are having these symptoms. This may be related to the hyperthyroidism alone however. Too high thyroid levels can lead to shakiness, dizziness, sweating, more frequent need to use the bathroom, and weight loss. See your MD and have your thyroid levels checked as well as the blood sugar!
