A member asked:

T7-t8 disc protrusion, radiating pain, tingling along left upper back, is yoga and weights contraindicated?

I don't recommend it: You must avoid stress and strain on your spine in order to worsen the disc problem and protect against precipitating a herniation of the disc. A neurologist or neurosurgeon is best qualified to advise you.

Contraindicated? Eh-: Hard to be sure without an exam but it seems enticing to say the symptoms are consistent with an observed anatomical defect. CONTRAINDICATED? I think that is better answered following a good eval by neurology & then, physical therapy. Instinctively, I think weights need to be limited but I believe yoga can be more "flexible?" shall we say? No pun intended!
