We have doctors: It isn't appropriate to treat ourselves and it's illegal to write prescriptions for ourselves. We need to be followed for our chronic illnesses regularly just like everybody else.

I while ago I had an infection under my toenail. I treated it with a over the counter nail treatment you brush on. Just as the left side of the nail grew out the right side got all bruised and swollen (not sure why) so I started treating that side. Its not growing quite right, Last night it swelled again.
