See your physician: Nail infections could be caused by numerous organisms. If it is fungal, the best treatment is actually an oral anti-fungal. If it is bacterial, you may need antibiotics. If it is not growing right, you also have to worry about cancers too. A visit to your doctor will likely be able to give you an accurate diagnosis, treatment, and reassurance that it isn't something more serious.
